Windsor Castle
Windsor Castle (King Edward VII Avenue, London)— this is the largest and oldest inhabited castle in the world. A Royal home and fortress for over 900 years, the Castle is still a working palace today. Visitors can see the State Apartments (which is decorated with some of the finest works of art in the Royal Collection), Queen Mary’s Doll’s House, the Drawings Gallery and St George’s Chapel. Members of the British Royal family have painted, drawn and made their own sculptures for generations. This exhibition shows some of that handiwork from the last 350 years, including architectural drawings, atmospheric landscapes and portraits of family members. Admission: £22.50 (adult), £20.30 (seniors & students), £13.00 (children under 17 years and the disabled), free for children under 5 years. Hours: 10:00 am – 4:15 pm (daily) (November – February); 10:00 am – 5:15 pm (daily) (March – October).
