Ottolenghi Islington
Ottolenghi Islington (287 Upper Street, London) — As close as it gets to a flag-ship, Islington is the biggest Ottolenghi and a proper restaurant (serving North African-inspired dishes, among others). As well as take-away food, this restaurant seat about 50 in the cool, sophisticated-yet-laid-back environment, mostly around communal tables (with a few small tables for two).
The restaurant, just opposite the Almeida theatre, serves hot breakfast, voted by the Observer the best in town, lunch from the counter and amazing hot food from the kitchen at dinner time, served to share in mezze size portions.
